WWII Leather Liner Strap With Flat Green Steel Buckle
This is an original WWII leather liner strap. The leather has conformed to the shape of a helmet's brim and is somewhat dry. The green painted steel buckle is the early variety with the flat lip, dating the strap's production from late-1942 to mid-1943. It features United Carr steel rivets. This would be an ideal strap for a helmet liner with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and St. Clairs).
