This original WWII U.S. M1 helmet set is in good, field-used condition. The McCord manufactured front seam swivel loop helmet shell's heat stamp is somewhat faint, but appears to read 988A, which would date its production to August 1944. It retains its original olive drab factory paint, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps. The helmet has recently been completed with an original MSA manufactured helmet liner. It features blackened brass A-washers, dating the liner's production from mid-1944 to 1945. Its khaki suspension is marked with the surname of its original owner, "Daniels". It comes complete with an original Comfort Slipper Corp. neckband, headband, and green-buckled leather liner strap. The liner's original olive drab factory paint is flaking throughout.
