WWII Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & St. Clair Liner (1943 Set)

WWII Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & St. Clair Liner (1943 Set)

This is an original early WWII M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop helmet shell's heat stamp of 46_C dates the helmet's production to March 1943. It retains its original olive drab factory paint, cork texture, and brass-buckled khaki chinstrap. The helmet has recently been paired with an original early-WWII St. Clair manufactured low pressure helmet liner. It features non-painted steel A-washers and a transitional suspension. These early features date the liner's production from late-1942 to early-1943. The liner comes complete with an original George Frost Co. neckband and a size 7 1/4 rayon headband. The liner's original textured factory finish is in good condition, however both it and the steel shell show some cracking throughout.
