WWII U.S. Canteen, Cup, & Cover
This in an original U.S. canteen set. Interestingly, the aluminum canteen has neither a manufacturer's marking or date stamp, which denotes pre-1918 production before such details were required of contractors. The OD#3 canvas cover was manufactured in 1942 by Lustre. The cup was produced by L.F. & C., also in 1942. The cork inside the cap has deteriorated and the stitching securing the hook on the cover's reverse is tearing. This would display quite nicely when installed on an original cartridge belt.
