WWII Leather Liner Strap With Green Steel Buckle
This is an original WWII leather liner strap. The Hagerstown Leather Co. produced leather has conformed to the shape of a helmet's brim, but is still soft and pliable. The curved buckle is green painted steel, dating the strap's production from mid-1943 to mid-1944. It features green painted steel rivets. This would be an ideal strap for a high-pressure helmet liner with either green painted steel or blackened brass A-washers.
