WWII Westinghouse Paratrooper M1-C Helmet Liner (Cut A-yokes)
This is an original U.S. WWII Westinghouse manufactured paratrooper helmet liner. Unfortunately, its factory installed A-yokes have been cut, however remnants are still visible beneath the blackened brass A-washers, which date the liner's production from mid-1944 to 1945. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It has recently been outfitted with an original L & N Specialties Co. manufactured headband and Scholl Manufacturing Co. neckband. The exterior retains an original olive drab field repaint. The front of the liner once displayed a sergeant's rank and nametape, possibly matching the one found in the interior, reading "Jochims." This liner would display quite nicely in an M1-C paratrooper helmet shell.
