Late-WWII Inland/Firestone Infantry M1 Helmet Liner (W/ Accessories)
This is an original late-WWII Inland/Firestone manufactured M1 helmet liner. The exterior's original olive drab factory paint is rust-stained and there is a slight dent just above the insignia eyelet. It features blackened brass A-washers, dating the liner's production from mid-1944 to 1945. The khaki suspension exhibits some fraying at the front center washer, however it is still intact. It comes with an original 1945-dated Scholl Manufacturing Co. neckband and green-buckled leather liner strap. The strap's leather has dried with time, however it is still in one piece. This helmet liner would display quite nicely when completed with an original headband.
