WWII "Yank" Magazine (May 25, 1945)
Yank magazine was a weekly U.S. Army publication written by and for active-duty soldiers during WWII. The first issue was published on June 17, 1942. By its fifth publication, on July 15, 1942, the Army made it available to stateside servicemen and women, however it was never sold to the general public. This particular magazine is dated May 25, 1945 and is addressed to Technician 5th Grade Jas. D. Cramer, a Chicago, Illinois resident. The cover story is the wartime history of the First Infantry Division.
