This is an original WWII U.S. Zippo-style lighter with black crackle finish. We are not certain of its manufacturer, however it is similar to the Zephyr "GI" lighters, produced by Galter Manufacturing Co. in Chicago, Illinois. Its orginal black painted crackle finish is in good condition. Interestingly, the steel case is quite substantial and feels better in the hand than Zippo lighters. The only visible markings are "FILL HERE" and "FLINT", marked on the insert, and a "10" inside the case. This lighter will require a flint and fluid to function.
