WWII Navy Painted Swivel Loop Schlueter "Commanding Officer" Helmet Shell (1944)
This is an original WWII U.S. Schlueter manufactured swivel loop M1 helmet shell. It was used by the commanding officer of a naval vessal. The heat stamp of 312A dates the helmet's production to late-1944. It retains its original battleship grey paint, cork texture, and slightly damaged chinstraps. Whether the new owner decides to complete the helmet with a well used late-war liner or restore it with an intact chinstrap, this helmet will make an excellent display piece.
