This is an original WWII Kobe Seikō manufactured Type 90 Japanese helmet. The helmet's original star badge remains intact, signifying use by the Imperial Japanese Army. It appears to have been issued to two different soldiers, with the hand-painted name in Kanji of one soldier painted over that of the other. The helmet's cloth chinstrap has been severed and one of the three leather liner pads is missing. The helmet exhibits minor surface rust throughout.
