WWII German Reissued Heer Double Decal M35 Helmet Shell (NS66)
This original WWII German manufactured M35 helmet shell would serve as the ideal restoration project for the collector with the missing accessories. When this helmet was originally issued, it would have likely exhibited a semi-gloss factory finish and a decal on each side. Following combat use, it underwent a wartime refurbishment, where the helmet was painted inside and out in a textured feldgrau finish. Beneath this repaint, one can still see its original Heer and National Colors decals. The inside brim is size stamped NS66 which denotes production by the Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, Schwerte factory. Much of the helmet's lot number is concealed by the hand-painted ID of the Unteroffizier to whom it was issued, but it appears to read "E204".
