This is an original WWII German manufactured M42 Luftwaffe helmet. The inside brim is faintly size stamped ET62, lot number 1816, denoting 1943 production by the Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale factory. The helmet showcases its original feldblau factory paint finish, while the wearer's left side is adorned with an original Luftwaffe decal. The interior exhibits an original size 55 leather liner and a faint ink stamp in the dome. Unfortunately, the drawstring and leather chinstrap are both missing. The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
