This is an original WWII German M1931 helmet liner system. The leather liner is a size 58; to be paired with a size 66 helmet shell. Its zinc band showcases a 1943 production stamp by Schuberth Werke, K. G. Braunschweig. The leather is very soft and supple. One of the leather 'tongues' is torn and the drawstring is missing. This would be an ideal liner system for an M40 or M42 helmet. Split pins sold separately.
