This is an original mid-WWII U.S. Schlueter manufactured fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The helmet's heat stamp of 129B dates its production to approximately mid-1943. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstraps. The straps exhibit a flat brass buckle. There are no stress cracks, however there is some surface rust in the helmet's interior. This helmet would pair quite nicely with a liner with green-painted steel A-washers.
