WWII Fixed Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (March 1942)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The heat stamp of 115B dates the helmet's production to March 1942. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstrap. The chinstrap exhibits early-war brass hardware. Its early style fixed loops are strong and intact; and there do not appear to be any stress cracks. This helmet would be an ideal match for a liner with non-painted steel A-washers, including Hawleys and low pressure liners.
