This is an original WWII British manufactured 3/4 inch camouflage helmet net. These brown nets are believed to have been provided to the U.S. by the British ahead of the D-Day Invasion of Nomandy, France, causing collectors to dub them the "D-Day" or the "Normandy" net. The 29th Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne Division, in particular, used brown nets quite heavily. It fits quite tightly on a helmet. The M1 helmet shown is just for display purposes and is not included.
