This is an original WWI German canteen. There are no readily apparent manufacturer or date markings. The felt cover exhibits some slight mothing and the leather straps have dried with time, but are still in exceptional condition for being more than one hundred years old. This canteen will display quite nicely when installed on an original bread bag or rucksack.
