This is an original web chinstrap for the WWII M1-C paratrooper helmet. The strap is constructed of OD#3 (khaki) webbing and exhibits a brass J-hook with rounded points. It has since lost its blackened-brass snap, however an original replacement is included along with a United Carr rivet. The aforementioned flaws have resulted in a 50% price reduction. The strap has been cut, so it can be reattached to a helmet either by fabric glue or by hand-stitching the cut closed.
