This is an original mid-WWII U.S. McCord manufactured fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The heat stamp of 630B dates the helmet's production to September 1943. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, fixed loops, and just one of its original chinstraps. Thankfully, we had on hand (and have included) a perfectly matching replacement, should the new owner decide to attach it. The original chinstrap exhibits a brass buckle, of the "raised-bar" variety. Pairing this helmet with a well-used early-war liner will make for an excellent display piece.
