Late-WWII U.S. Swivel Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (May 1945)
This is an original late-WWII U.S. McCord manufactured swivel loop M1 helmet shell. It is in very good condition. The heat stamp of 1264D dates the helmet's production to May 1945. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps. The chinstraps exhibit a flat brass buckle. This helmet would pair quite nicely with a high pressure helmet liner with blackened brass A-washers.
