Late-WWII McCord Swivel Loop M1 Helmet & Westinghouse Liner (1945 Set)
This original U.S. WWII M1 helmet set is in good, field-used condition. It is named to a "S/Sgt. Wilson". The McCord manufactured rear seam swivel loop helmet shell's heat stamp of 1269F dates its production to May 1945. Interestingly, McCord heat stamps are believed to range from 25-1300, making this one of the latest examples we've ever encountered. It retains its original olive drab factory paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstraps. The straps exhibit brass hardware. The Westinghouse manufactured helmet liner features blackened brass A-washers, dating its production from mid-1944 to 1945. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with an original headband, neckband, and blackened brass buckled leather liner strap - all of which also date to 1945.
