This original late-WWII German manufactured M42 helmet would be an ideal project for the collector with the missing, necessary components. The inside brim is size stamped EF66 along with the lot number of 518_, denoting 1944 production by the Emaillierwerke A.G., Fulda factory. Its original slate grey textured factory finish is in excellent condition. This helmet would have left the factory after the cessation of decal application, making it appropriate for either a Heer or Waffen SS display. The interior retains its original liner band, although its leather is unfortunately missing. The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
