This is an original U.S. Army duffel bag. It is quite artistically identified to William A. Cole, serial number 55217757, a post-WWII veteran of the 24th Infantry Division. It is constructed of heavy duty OD#7 (green) canvas. Unfortunately, its date and manufacturer markings have faded beyond legibility. There is a small hole at the bottom of the bag that was repaired with a patch of denim.
