Early-WWII U.S. M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Double Wire)
This is an original WWII U.S. M1 helmet liner headband. It features the "double wire" buckle variation, which dates the headband's production from early-1942 to mid-1942. Unfortunately, its manufacturer's marking has faded beyond legibility, however the fabric is marked with the name of its original owner, "J. F. North". This would be an ideal headband for all helmet liners with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).
