Early-WWII U.S. M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Double Wire)
This is an original WWII Scholl Manufacturing Co. headband. It features the 'double wire' buckle variation and the earliest style spring clips, which date the headband's production to early-1942. The leather is cracked throughout, but remains intact. This would be an ideal headband for all helmet liners with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).
