Early-WWII U.S. Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Rayon Westinghouse Liner (1942 Set)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop helmet shell has a heat stamp of 277C, dating its production to September 1942. The helmet retains its original olive drab factory finish, cork texture, and brass-buckled khaki chinstraps. The Westinghouse manufactured liner's original olive drab factory paint finish is in good condition. It features non-painted steel A-washers and a rayon suspension, dating the liner's production to mid-1942. The Paul K. Weil Co. manufactured rayon suspension is frayed in a couple spots, but is still intact. It comes complete with its original cotton headband and rayon neckband.
