Early-WWII U.S. Firestone M1 Helmet Liner (1942-43)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. Firestone manufactured M1 helmet liner. The liner's exterior factory finish is in worn, but good condition; the rear exhibits a small crack. The non-painted steel A-washers date the liner's production from late-1942 to mid-1943. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original neckband and a recently installed headband - both of which were manufactured by American Stay Co. This liner would pair quite nicely with a fixed loop M1 helmet shell.
