This is an original early-WWII Firestone manufactured M1 helmet liner. The liner's exterior factory finish is heavily worn. The non-painted steel A-washers date the liner's production from late-1942 to mid-1943. The Johnson & Johnson manufactured khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with an original headband and neckband. The headband's leather is dry and cracking. This liner would pair quite nicely with a fixed loop M1 helmet shell.
