WWII Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner (Field-Applied Camouflage)

WWII Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner (Field-Applied Camouflage)

This is an original early-WWII Westinghouse manufactured helmet liner. The liner's exterior showcases an original reddish-brown, swirl pattern camouflage paint scheme. It's unknown exactly where this helmet liner was worn, however it has a certain Mediterranean appearance. The non-painted steel A-washers and folded ends on the neck support date the liner's production to late-1942. The khaki suspension is well-worn, but intact. It comes complete with its original headband and neckband. This liner would pair quite nicely with a well-worn fixed loop M1 helmet shell.
