Early-WWII USN Painted Fixed Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (May 1942)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. McCord manufactured fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The heat stamp of 130B dates the helmet's production to April 1942. It retains its original battleship grey-blue paint, cork texture, and OD#3 (khaki) chinstraps. There are stress cracks throughout, however the helmet's fixed loops are strong and intact. Completing this helmet with a well used early-war liner will make for an excellent display piece.
