WWII U.S. Wool Overcoat (ID'd)
This is an original WWII size 36R overcoat. It is in excellent conditition, with all of its original brass buttons intact. The coat appears to have belonged to two different servicemen; one with the laundry number of "L-2366" and another, a veteran from Illinois, David L. Gunn, serial number 36445645. Oglesby, Illinois resident, David Lloyd Gunn, serial number 36445645, was born on October 9, 1923. He enlisted in the United States Army on January 30, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois. Made available to the new owner, below, are Gunn's enlistment records as well as some very nice yearbook photos from his days at La Salle-Peru Township High School.
