This original WWII "Wind-Proof" lighter was produced by Jan Products Co. in New York City. Its orginal black painted crackle finish is in good condition. Interestingly, the steel case is quite substantial and feels better in the hand than Zippo lighters. This is the second Jan Products Co. lighter we have offered and originally we suspected the insert may be a replacement, as it rattles a little inside the case, but now having handled two, we're confident that is just a characteristic of this particular manufacturer. It will require a flint and fluid to function.
