Early-WWII U.S. Fixed Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (April 1942)
This is an original early-WWII U.S. McCord manufactured fixed loop M1 helmet shell. The heat stamp of 120B dates the helmet's production to April 1942. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and just one of its fixed loops and accompanying chinstrap. The chinstrap exhibits a brass buckle, of the "raised-bar" variety. Pairing this helmet with a well-used early-war liner will make for an excellent display piece.
