WWII U.S. 75th Infantry Division Fixed Loop McCord M1 Helmet Shell (April 1942)
This original WWII U.S. fixed loop M1 helmet shell is painted with what appears to be a rather crude rendition of the 75th Infantry Division insignia. It was manufactured by McCord and, with a heat stamp of just 116B, it dates to April 1942. In addition to the original painted markings, the helmet also retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstrap. The chinstrap features a brass buckle in the "raised bar" variety. The helmet's fixed loops are strong and intact. This helmet would pair very nicely with a liner with non-painted steel washers.
