This original WWII U.S. McCord manufactured front seam swivel loop M1 helmet shell is in great condition. The heat stamp of 1042A dates the helmet's production to October 1944. It retains its original factory paint, cork texture, and khaki chinstrap. Its chinstraps feature a flat brass buckle. The helmet's swivel loops are strong and intact. There are no stress cracks. This helmet would pair very nicely with a high pressure helmet liner with blackened-brass A-washers.
