WWII Navy Painted Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Firestone Liner Set

WWII Navy Painted Fixed Loop M1 Helmet & Firestone Liner Set

This is an original WWII U.S.N. M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop helmet shell's heat stamp of 46_C dates the helmet's production to February 1943. Its chinstraps exhibit a flat brass buckle. The helmet retains its original battleship grey-blue repaint, with stress cracks at the rear. The Firestone manufactured helmet liner features non-painted steel A-washers, dating the liner's production from late-1942 to mid-1943. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original Gem Dandy, Inc. neckband and a recently installed headband. The liner's original factory finish is in good condition.
