This is an original WWII Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. manufactured B-4 "Mae West" life preserver. The adhesive has failed on one of the straps and the rubber has stiffened over the years. With a manufacturer's date of July 1943, this life preserver would serve as an excellent addition to a D-Day display.
