WWII M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Mid-Late War)
This is an original WWII M1 helmet liner headband, manufactured by All American Leather Goods Co.. It exhibits green painted steel clips and a blackened brass buckle, a combination introduced on November 5, 1943 and utilized until the end of the war. The headband's leather is cracked in two places, but is still displayable. This would be an ideal headband for a high-pressure helmet liner with either green painted steel or blackened brass A-washers.
