This original WWII helmet liner headband exhibits a rare variation only seen on mid-1942 examples; the fabric on the reverse was stitched over the leather fold as opposed to the more common under. This headband is in good condition, with soft and supple leather. The manufacturer's markings have unfortunately faded beyond legibility and one of the green painted steel spring clips is missing. This would be an ideal headband for a helmet liner with non-painted steel A-washers.
