WWII M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Early-Mid War)
This is an original WWII M1 helmet liner headband. The manufacturer's marking has unfortunately faded beyond legibility. The leather has dried with time, but still remains somewhat pliable. The rusty hardware began its life as green painted steel, dating the headband's production from mid-1942 to late-1943. This would be an ideal headband for a helmet liner with either non-painted or green painted steel A-washers.
