This is an original WWII leather liner strap. The leather has conformed to the shape of a helmet's brim, has white overspray, and is quite dry. There are no gurantees that this strap will fit your liner or withstand excessive handling. The aforementioned flaws have resulted in a 50% price reduction. It features a blackened brass buckle as well as United Carr stamped blackened brass rivets. The reverse of the buckle exhibits the rare patent number of 2363872, dating the strap's production to November 28, 1944. This would be an ideal strap for a high-pressure helmet liner with blackened brass A-washers.
