WWII KIA Battle Damaged Imperial Japanese Army Type 90 Helmet
This original WWII Kobe Seikō manufactured Type 90 Japanese helmet has all the characteristics of a Killed in Action bring-back souvenir. With a bullet hole and a blood-stained liner, one can only imagine what this helmet has witnessed. The helmet's original star badge remains intact, signifying use by the Imperial Japanese Army. In addition to its factory size stamping, the interior brim also features original hand-painted Kanji, which indicates this is a large size helmet. It retains its original leather liner system and chinstrap. The interior components are somewhat damaged, but still intact. The front leather pad exhibits the faint ID of its original owner, located just to the left of the bullet hole.
