This is an original early-WWII Inland manufactured M1 helmet liner. The exterior retains its original olive drab factory paint finish. It features non-painted steel A-washers, dating the liner's production from mid-1942 to mid-1943. The Johnson & Johnson manufactured khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original Vogt Manufacturing Co. headband, Johnson & Johnson manufactured neckband, and flat buckled leather liner strap. The leather liner strap utilizes rare early war brown painted United Carr rivets and the headband is ID'd in two places to a Lieutenant Boyd.
