This is an original WWII Japanese manufactured Type 30 Arisaka bayonet. There are no readily apparent markings, indicating this was likely used as a training bayonet. Beginning in the 1930's and until the end of the war, Japanese children were required to undergo bayonet drill training as a part of their school curriculum. The blade measures 15 3/8 inches and its overall length is 19 7/8 inches. It is in exceptional condition and comes complete with its original wooden handles and scabbard.
