This is an original WWII Imperial Japan pocket flag. This variation was likely hand-made by an individual soldier and carried for good luck. The flag consists of a linen backing, in which the center was cut out, and the red "meatball" was added in its place. The flag measures approximately 17.5" x 15". It exhibits some Kanji writing, staining, and small holes, but is still in good condition.
