This original WWII German manufactured M42 Luftwaffe helmet would be an ideal project for the collector with the missing, necessary components. The inside brim is size stamped ET64, lot number 1615, denoting mid-1942 production by the Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale factory. The helmet showcases its original feldblau factory paint finish, while the wearer's left side is adorned with an original Luftwaffe decal. The interior retains its original liner band, although its leather is unfortunately missing. The leather chinstrap is intact, but dry. The middle portion is stamped "RB-Nr 0/0335/0018." The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
