This is an original WWII German manufactured M42 helmet. The inside brim is size stamped CKL64, lot number 4944, denoting late-1943 production by the Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale factory. This helmet showcases its original slate grey textured finish and would have left the factory after the cessation of decal application. The interior retains its original size 56 leather liner, drawstring, and leather chinstrap. Unfortunately, both the chinstrap and drawstring are torn. The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
