This is a well-used original WWII German manufactured M40 Heer helmet. In addition to the nicely toned original Heer decal, the helmet showcases its original factory paint, with rust throughout. The inside brim is size stamped NS66 lot number DN22, denoting early-1940 production by the Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, Schwerte factory. It is named to Unteroffizier (non-commissioned officer) Stärk. The interior has recently been outfitted with an original 1940 dated size 58 Schuberth Werk K.G. Braunschweig manufactured leather liner. It exhibits the unique spliced leather factory variation. The split pins and washers are all original, however they are also recent installations.
