This is an original WWII German M35 single decal Heer helmet. When this helmet was originally issued, it would have likely exhibited a semi-gloss factory finish and a decal on each side. Following combat use, it underwent a wartime refurbishment, where the helmet was painted in a textured feldgrau finish and the wearer's left side was adorned with an original Heer decal. The inside brim is size stamped Q62, along with the lot number of 5150, denoting early-1939 production by the Quist, Esslingen factory. It comes with its original size 57 leather liner and remnants of its aluminum-buckled leather chinstrap - both of which exhibit consistent use. The split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
